GROW in a coaching conversation
The GROW model is one of the most used coaching methods in the world. As a coaching
manager you do not help others by imposing things, but rather by asking many questions. Thereby you give others insight into their own wishes, needs and motives and explain the responsibility with them. It is important to use a good method to facilitate the learning process of your coachee.
GROW is a 4-stage method that you helps to ask the right questions and to structure the conversation. You help your coachee with this to set a goal for themselves.
The 4-staes are: Goal (set goal), Reality (view current situation), Options (determine opportunities), Will (choose actions). When you go through the 4 phases you are making a bigger goal, a concrete plan.
